Tereza Sluková, studovala keramiku a porcelán na KHiO v Oslu a UMPRUM v Praze. V její práci lze identifikovat dva dominantní směry, a to velkoformátové instalace pracující s abstraktní formou dekorativních prvků a drobné předměty, které reflektují tradici zobrazování zvířete.
Tereza Sluková, ve svých pracích často věnuje tématům soužití člověka a zvířete. Obrací se k tradici zobrazování zvířat v drobné keramické plastice a ke způsobu jakým je zvířeti, často neprávem, přisuzována role symbolu pro konkrétní typy lidského chování a vlastností.
Opičí láska tematizuje právě jedno takové úsloví. Soška ovšem nepředstavuje moralizující narativ, ukazuje pouze matku objímají své dítě.

Tereza Sluková, studied ceramics and porcelain at KHiO in Oslo and UMPRUM in Prague. In her work two dominant directions can be identified, namely large-scale installations working with abstract forms of decorative elements and small objects that reflect the tradition of animal representation.
In her works, Tereza Sluková often focuses on the themes of coexistence between man and animal. She turns to the tradition of depicting animals in small ceramic sculpture and the way in which the animal is, often wrongly, attributed the role of a symbol for specific types of human behaviour and characteristics.
Monkey Love thematizes just one such saying. However, the sculpture does not present a moralising narrative, it only shows a mother embracing her child.
