The publication contains reproductions of exhibited and unexhibited works by both artists and is supplemented by texts by curators Jan Kudrna and Bogdan Iacob in Czech and English.
The Cluj School is a concept in the art world. But few would have guessed that one of the most important centres of contemporary art is not in Western Europe, but in post-communist Romania. It is here, in the city of Cluj in Transylvania, that artists whose work has attracted the attention of experts and the general public have been born and established in recent decades. Two representatives of the Cluj school, the painters Radu Băieș and Laurențiu Zbîrcea, will also be presented to the Czech public as part of the K2 exhibition at Prague's Bold Gallery.
