The forthcoming exhibition of last year's Critics' Prize winner for young painting Karolina Netolická (*1993) should not escape your attention, if only because in a sensitive installation she organically connects the painting with the object into a living whole.
You can look forward not only to the typical setting of Karolina's paintings - a night forest with scenes of half-creatures, half-animals and tree torsos, but also to the opportunity to walk around the object made of down jackets and enter the individual scenes of the paintings with your shadow, giving a completely new physical experience of communication with Karolina's work.
Karolína Netolická is undoubtedly one of the unmissable personalities of the young generation of the Czech art scene. She graduated from the Studio of Drawing (Jiří Petrboek School) at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague in 2016-2022. She has exhibited in a number of solo and collective exhibitions in the Czech Republic and abroad. Despite her young age, she is represented in a number of private collections and lives and works in Prague.
