Another important element is fatality, from which - for two-way emphasis - there is no escape. At the same time, Buchtelík's paintings also present us with an ironic distance and a special dark playfulness.

Examining the theme of confrontation of man with his surroundings - people, nature and celestial space - triggers the controversy of our responsibility towards the world around us and humility on the basis of our helplessness towards a space over which we have no control.
Will you allow the artist to guide you through his visions and start with you the constantly up-to-date discussion of our -human- place on Earth?
The curator of the exhibition is Radek Wohlmuth

Václav Buchtelík (1990) graduated from Daniel Balaban's studio at the Faculty of Arts at University of Ostrava.
