Existenciální výstava o kráse, iluzi, bolesti a smrti, prožívané skrze trny a růže.
Thorns N´ Roses - a name that goes to the heart, to emotions that refers - like Eugenio Percossi - to the topicality of immortal themes and to variations of their interpretation.
The intermeidal exhibition of realistic painting, thorn objects, alternated sculptures, photographs and videos, therefore, organically acts as a thematically connected piece.
For Eugenio, art is a way of open communication with others. It opens up topics that have become taboo in our society - the finiteness of existence, death, the inevitability of pain and the need for beauty and illusions.
Roses - a remarkably rich symbol of beauty and death - inspired Eugenio Percossi many years ago to reflect on the double illusiveness of the simple aesthetic beauty that this plant evokes. First, the illusion of delicacy and liking and the age-old symbolism that makes us forget the pain and discomfort caused by thorns to those who care for roses. Secondly, illusions caused by the very essence of flowers, in that they require daily care and worry, despite the fact that they are completely indifferent to us and yet we repeatedly devote our energy to them.
These are illusions with various alternations familiar to almost everyone, and that is why Eugenius's thematic grip, in which he keeps returning to the motifs of vanitas and memento mori, is permeated precisely by his unsolvability and perseverance against time.
