Join us for an extraordinary evening encounter with the paintings of Jiří Matějů and the texts of Jorge Luis Borges. The live reading performed by actor Oldřich Vlček will be followed by reflections and dialogue on the subject of "the limits of imagination" by philosopher Professor Miroslav Petříček and artist Jiří Matějů. The evening will be moderated by the curator of the exhibition φurlicht Jan Čejka.

Prof. Miroslav Petříček - is a Czech philosopher, aesthetician, translator and professor at the Faculty of Arts, Charles University. He is a student of Jan Patočka. He focuses on philosophy of art, overlaps between philosophy, film, literature and visual arts. He is also interested in contemporary French philosophy.
Jiří Matějů - is a painter of light and a recognized solitaire of the art scene, who moves on the threshold of art, science, philosophy and theology. He is considered one of the leading representatives of contemporary geometric abstraction.
Oldřich Vlček - actor, screenwriter and director. A graduate of JAMU in Brno, he worked for a long time in the drama department of the National Theatre in Prague.
Jan Čejka - curator, gallerist, graduate of aesthetics at the Faculty of Arts of Charles University.
