Urant's work reveals an inner world of personal stories, memories and visual expressions of characters. He creates his paintings through a long process of painting, washing, scraping and applying dry pigments, which later become a dreamlike painting with many layers of colours and stories.
Jan Urant graduated with an MA from Chelsea College of Arts, London in 2013. He was shortlisted for the ESSL ART AWARD in 2015.
CEE. He currently lives and works between Wiltshire, UK and London.
