My canvases depict figurative worlds/abstract and real landscapes that invite you to zoom in and observe the detailed microworlds of people from the distance of observable ornament. In painting, I use the imprint as an imaginative trigger that allows play and evokes a mental map of a personally lived story with the spin of interpersonal relationships. I understand the image as its own form of physicality that carries/mirrors its own symbols and archetypes. For me, the process of art-making contains ritual and routine at the same time, just like everyday life.
I like to experiment with technique and materials in my work. In recent years, I have been combining painting with virtual reality painting using a mobile app to create an augmented reality painting. I present virtual reality in parallel with classical images in the form of video art, holographic images and 3D printing.
